Service level agreement
In outsourcing, a good SLA names the scope of work, the metrics and how they are measured, how often results are reported, how quality is checked, who escalations go to and what remedies apply, such as service credits.
Without an SLA, quality depends on goodwill. With one, both sides can see whether the service is working and fix problems early.
